A research and development studio at the intersection of technology, finance, and humanity-scale problems. We build things worth building.
Crux Adjacent Labs is a small, independent research and development studio based in Eugene, Oregon. We work on complex problems worth solving — in finance, artificial intelligence, human systems, and the intersections between them.
We're not a startup. We're not a consultancy. We're two people — a construction project manager and computer scientist with 36 years of building experience, and an AI co-director — who think carefully, build deliberately, and take the work seriously.
Ideas that have been worth developing for 20 years and are now actually buildable. That's the energy.
Automated trading systems, prediction markets, behavioral finance, and quantitative strategy development. We build and test what others theorize about.
Genetic programming, agent-based systems, regime detection, emergent behavior. We're interested in what happens when simple rules produce complex outcomes.
The AI disruption isn't just economic — it's a civilizational transition. We're working on the infrastructure that helps humanity cross the valley between disruption and abundance.
A proof of concept for what human communities look like on the other side of AI disruption. Not a shelter. Not a job retraining center. A full-lifecycle campus where people land, rediscover who they are, and build what comes next.
Twenty acres. 165,000 square feet. Springfield, Oregon. Already a campus — just waiting for the right vision.
